Farewell Forlan

Manchester United striker Diego Forlan is set to join Spanish side Villarreal.



"Forlan has agreed a five-year deal," said Villarreal spokesman Mariam Solsona. "He will be presented on Saturday after his medical."

The Uruguayan endured a mixed spell at his time with United after taking 27 games to score his first goal.

Forlan will be remembered fondly by the Old Trafford faithful after last season's one man demolition of Liverpool.

United's injury crisis looks set to be easing with the news that both Louis Saha and Ruud van Nistlerooy are approaching a return to fitness.

With Ole Gunnar Solksjaer out for the season, it leaves Sir Alex Ferguson with only three recognised strikers.
