O'Shea To Follow Butt

Newcaslte manager Graeme Souness has reportedly bid £4m for Manchester United defender John O'Shea.



John O'Shea has struggled to hold down a regular position at Old Trafford since the arrival of Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze.

Souness sees the Irish international as the perfect player to answer his defensive frailties but Sir Alex Ferguson will not let the player leave for less than £6m.

The Daily Mirror claims that the Newcaslte manager tried to sign O'Shea while he was still in charge of Blackburn.
